How it works
Graft Pot runs skill-based prize competitions, not a lottery. Every competition has a genuine multiple-choice question you must answer correctly, and every competition has a free entry route by post with exactly the same chance of winning as a paid entry.
1. Pick a competition
Each listing shows the prize, the ticket price, how many tickets exist and when it closes.
2. Answer the skill question
Choose the correct answer from the multiple-choice options. An incorrect answer means no entry is created and you are not charged.
3. Buy tickets or enter free by post
Pay online for instant tickets, or send a postcard using the free entry details below. Free entries are treated identically to paid entries.
4. Winner drawn
When the competition closes, a winner is drawn at random from all correct entries and published on our winners page.
5. The weekly Graft Pot
Anyone who entered any competition that week gets one free entry into the live cash pot, drawn every Friday at 19:00.
Free postal entry route
FREE POSTAL ENTRY: You can enter any competition free of charge by post. Send your name, address, email, phone number, the competition title and your answer to the skill question on an unenclosed postcard to: Graft Pot Free Entry, PO Box 1234, Manchester, M1 1AA, United Kingdom. One entry per postcard, no purchase necessary. Postal entries must arrive before the competition closing time and are given exactly the same chance of winning as paid entries.
Postal entries are added to exactly the same ticket pool as paid entries, are limited to the same number of entries per person, and have precisely the same chance of winning. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
How the draw is made
Every ticket number in a competition is unique and allocated at random by our system when the entry is confirmed. When the competition closes, the winning number is selected using a random draw method that we record, so any entrant can ask us to verify the result. Winners are contacted by email and published on our past winners page within 7 days.
Paying for tickets
Checkout is handled by Stripe, so you can pay in one tap with Apple Pay or Google Pay, or use any major card. We never see or store your card details.
